Communications for Social Change

"Social Media for Movement Building"

Tuesday, June 4, 2019

10:00 am - 12:00 pm

425 Atlantic Ave. Long Beach 90802

A great social media presence doesn’t just garner a following, it also builds a community to take action for social change. The use of social media in a digital world is key to changing hearts and minds, challenging dominant narratives, and strengthening movement building by turning online awareness to offline action. This training will provide insight to effectively connect with online audiences and teach best practices for utilizing social media as part of a campaign’s communication strategies.

This workshop is an interactive learning session designed for people organizing with social change campaigns. The workshop is free for The California Endowment grantees. Other organizations are encouraged to make contributions of $25 per individual attending to help offset the cost, though this is negotiable and no one will be turned away for lack of funds. To register, complete the form below.
