Kei Ferrer

Kei Ferrer (she/her/siya) serves as an Organizing Fellow for Best Start Central at Long Beach Forward. Kei started organizing in 2017 with a focus on women, children, families, and LGBTQ+. As a doula, she started organizing with the Birth Workers of Color Collective in Long Beach and has expanded her love for mass work through grassroots community organizing with GABRIELA South Bay and the Filipino Migrant Center. Grassroots organizing has helped Kei build deep relationships with the community, value the power of the masses to organize, and stems from her love for the people. Kei hopes that she continues to organize people to take action on the issues that directly impact their communities and helps build the people power we need for genuine liberation through fighting for systemic change.

Race and income do not determine one's future in Long Beach—it's a community where everyone is safe, connected, and healthy.

To create a healthy Long Beach with low-income communities of color by building community knowledge, leadership, and power.
